As a maker i found myself frustrated with the lack of creativity and support i was given by framers.
With a background in Joinery and a love for contemporary design i was able to take this in to my own hands. Finding a passion and a meditation in the making and design of frames. With the appreciation for quality and sustainable wood, I have been working with local craftsmen and conscious suppliers to offer you beautiful and durable design
With a modern mentality yet a respect for the traditional craft we aim to bring framing into the leading edge of the art and craft world of today.
Creating a human connection
As a visual artist, framing to me is a vital process of my making; incapsulating and preserving a piece of work, gives me the sense of honouring the art and the future generations of viewers to come.
It’s a completion, a wholeness a respect you give to an artwork and the artist .
One I find very satisfying, coming from a joinery background my art and framing reflect the slow precision that makes each frame so special to me.
My aim is to encompass the passion of the artist and the beauty of the work, to form a relationship between me and the maker as well as the art and the frame.
